Aw c’mon what word can you use besides obsessed? Obsession is a mental health Dx and is not a word to be used lightly, just like “addiction” or “I am addicted to —“
Yes, really. The comment was unnecessarily rude. Hilary clearly put a great deal of effort and thoughtfulness into creating an article her readers specifically requested. She shared practical, accessible makeup tips on a topic many of us find challenging, including expertise from a professional make up artist most of us wouldn’t have the chance to afford. It was a positive, helpful piece of content, yet you and your fellow critic chose to focus on nitpicking a word choice and giving an unsolicited English lesson to a professional journalist. If you cant contribute something positive, feel free to roll your eyes and move along.
Haha. It was “just an observation” ok. I am sorry that you think calling out bad behavior is rude. It was a rude observation that had nothing to do with the content of the article.
Women have such a hard time saying how they feel and it is compounded by people calling them names when they do say how they feel. I’m sure you can think of names they are called..
I am a therapist who works mostly with young women with the good girl syndrome and this is a good example of it. I asked the author to rethink a word she used because it is a serious mental health dx and is over used these days. I was called a name in response.
Let’s not name call.
Let’s learn to say how we feel and not say it in a mean way.
Hello! Request for a follow up to the follow up to provide some eyeliner pointers-I am not skilled in this area, and am also in my 40s, so probably time to up that game! The step above on lining the outer quarter of my waterline feels like I'm in a foreign land :)
Well this is convenient: I just got this palette!
Meant to be!!!!
This was so helpful! Saving to refer to later! Thank you for sharing.
❤️❤️❤️❤️
SO SO GOOD - off to buy the palette! Thank you Joey and Hillary!
I'm not much of a palette girl, generally, but I'm using the heck out of this one!
This was a great post - so easy to follow and I’ll be trying this! Thank you!
I just can’t help myself - where is that lovely shade of green sweater from? I have a sweater problem.
It's a Gap Oversized Boyfriend Sweater in Olive! I've had it a while so might not be in stock?
Thank you so much for this!!! So helpful.
Am I the only one who has to do mascara first, because at 60 I still get it all over my eyelid? If I did it after shadow I'd have to redo the shadow.
Ha! My lids are hooded so I have to keep my eyes half closed to let mascara dry. Otherwise, same.

you realize you can see something you don't like and just . . . move along, right?
I can think of a word @betsyames, RUDE
Really? 🙄

Betsy’s comment wasn’t rude. It was just an observation. Hilary is doing a great job. You made it a thing. You were the rude one.

Have a nice day.
I hear you. I think we use those words a little too much actually.

Ooo! Thanks for the inspo. I’m going to try this technique with my Glossier monochrome palette (Jute).
I’ve been doing it right!!! But I don’t have a crease anymore. 😢
I LOVE this series! So much more fun than another gift guide. Thank you for sharing with us, I think I'm going to book a session with Joey!
