Also, I’ve no idea where to start with weights trainings and gonna be having any suggestions. I’m absolutely too nervous to go into my local gym but also don’t wanna hurt myself because I’ve no idea what I’m doing

I feel you on this too, which is why I do classes at home!

I think going to classes that are small is a great way. But also the Peloton strength classes are great. You could subscribe to them even without a bike or tread and just do the other classes- which there are so many to choose from. Just get a few lighter weights to start (pair of 5, 10 and 15 or 20).

I second the Peloton strength classes. I’ve been doing Andy’s total strength series for over a year and cannot believe the overall functional benefits. I’m 47.

Love this thanks Hilary! one question though - sometimes towels are too soft and actually don’t absorb any of the water. Do you know what I mean? Did that happen with any of these?

Yes I know exactly what you mean and I didn't find that at all! I have some that are annoying non-absorbent, but not these!

Ooh great, thank you!

I didn’t know that benzoyl peroxide resistant towels were a thing until I had to buy and replace towels for my teenagers…and found bleach stains all over our new towels. Casaluna from Target have this feature and I think they are really soft and a great deal. I was pleasantly surprised. As someone that replaces towels every few years, I am happy with paying this price. I am a shopper but never understood spending a lot on towels.

Like you, I've always enjoyed the luxurious feel of a heavyweight towel BUT didn't like how long they took to dry hanging on the hook or in the dryer. Microfibre towels are now my lightweight best friend because they absorb water faster, dry faster, and don't hold onto sand at the beach. 👍

The Casaluna seem to hit my price point and vibe, so I will wait to see if they go on sale!

For readers in the UK, I could sing from the rooftops about my love of my new-ish M&S towels. Too often I’ve found that lovely soft towels aren’t actually that lovely after they’ve been washed and air-dried a few times, but these are wonderful. They are the M&S Collection ‘Super Soft Pure Cotton Antibacterial Towel’ (I think it’s that they dry fast that make them antibacterial???). £18 for a bath sheet, 550 gsm, and in a range of gorgeous colours. I have the Dusty Pink and the Dark Ochre which I switch out on wash days. Also available in guest towel, hand towel, bath towel, and face towel sizes.

Hi Hillary, I’m hoping you can help. I’ve just moved to Canada and I really need to get a red “work top” or dress for a work event. It has to be red (which is really limiting). I wondered if you have any suggestions of stores to try, please?

I’ve tried like Zara, H&M, banana Republic, club Monaco and Cos - but no success! 😭

Thank you for all your research! I agree with you on not liking a band a few inches from the bottom. Unnecessary!
