Hillary, this newsletter is very dangerous for my attempts to control my impulse shopping. I might have to buy those lipsticks to try to spice things up a little bit.
Also, can we talk about cute shoes to wear that won’t kill my feet? I can barely do a heel these days and particularly my work outfits are feeling very flat because I wear the same pair of black ankle boots every day. I just don’t know what shoes cute but comfortable and appropriate for office life anymore! Thank you so much for the work you put into this newsletter. It’s become my favorite Sunday morning treat!
Yes! How about a test of Rothy's and other 'comfort' shoe brands not only to see if they really are comfy but how they wok with clothes besides jeans and casual pants.
Giveaway idea: The Ness membership for X amount of time…the trampoline….thank you for such a delightful newsletter, I look forward to reading it every week!
I am obsessed with reusable sticker books for travel- either Melissa and Doug or these from amazon. I usually get a new one of these, new fun snacks and then ipad. The kits online are a brilliant business idea but seem so overpriced… But I guess if you’re trying to avoid any screen time (good luck!) then maybe they’re good.

Yes, the reusable sticker books are great! Also the water wow coloring books with the refillable pen. We use those all the time for restaurants. (For long flights, I’ll admit to just letting my 3-year-old watch back-to-back Frozen.) I’ve never tried one of the expensive kits either.
Have been reading for awhile, commenting for the first time with an idea/request for HK advice! I liked the YCOHO story primarily because I think editing can be a really positive thing, especially if you're generally trying to reduce your footprint/stay on budget. Wondering how you've 'edited' over the years to find your personal style, stay on trend where it makes sense, AND know what to keep. I'm at a unique convergence point of feeling like my closet is both an identity crisis physically manifest + taking over my studio apartment, and I've been wanting to strip it down to the foundations to really figure out my personal style and be more disciplined going forward.
Since we're talking about Mary Janes, I'm wondering if you might recommend some socks to wear with MJs or loafers. Something that looks cool and doesn't leave marks on your legs? I feel like trouser socks don't cut it. Thank you!
Love this -- and in particular the bit about the ... period undies. I don't even have a period any more, but I have always liked this kind of thong for the wicking and bit of ... (damn, on laptop so no camel emoji) coverage ... with leggings. Nice to have the intel on a brand I didn't know!
Hi 👋 I am on the hunt for a lightweight summer moisturizer that does not have dimethicone in it. Same question applies for a sunscreen option to layer - tinted or not! Dimethicone makes my skin very bumpy. Thank you!
Maybe it's because I'm not a matte lipstick person, but I think lip gloss looks... fresher, juicer, more casual, which is more my vibe. I'm always looking for that gloss or oil with real payoff, though. The best I've found is to use a base of lipstick with gloss on top, the Old School best of both worlds.

Well for one, I'd say the Mary Janes in today's newsletter. Also the Sezane loafers that was in my best things I bought in 2023 story!

Hillary, there is no one else that can positively* influence me the way that you do.
*recognizing not all influences are positive, but you very much are.
Now, I’m going back to read the comments I missed last week!
