Thanks so much for these recommendations, Hillary. And kudos for the photo, can imagine how scary it was to post, but you look great! I feel your pain on swimwear. My cup size has been increasing over the past few years and it makes swimwear a nightmare. For anyone in the UK I've found some brilliant options at Bravissimo https://www.bravissimo.com/.

Oh this is so good to know! Runs true to size? One piece to two?

I have a one-piece -- this one, from a few seasons ago: https://www.bodenusa.com/en-us/santorini-halterneck-swimsuit-french-navy-ivory-stripe/sty-s0157-str?cat=C1_S2_G17

I find it true to size! (They didn't have long sizes when I bought mine, so I can't speak to that aspect, although I am long-torsoed.) It's very hold-y in-y without being too constrictive.

Have you tried Freya suits? They’re bra sized which if you’re above a C, feels basically essential these days. But my goodness, once I went there, I’ve never looked back. And they’re also pricey so shout out to Her Room and Bare Essentials for having the best sales ever.

Also, a surprise random purchase that I loved last year was Victorias Secrets Swim Shorts. Did it take me back to high school and wearing Umbros in the pool bc I was so self conscious- only at first bc these were cut much more flattering and for running around with an incredibly athletic toddler and jumping right back into the pool, I did not feel like I was going to accidentally flash anyone as I climbed, squatted or jumped w kiddo. I went to buy another pair and they’re discontinued but it looks like Target might have a pair worth trying.

Thanks for the roundup, Hillary! Also on the spendier side, I’m curious about whether you’ve ever tried Malia Mills swimsuits? Any takeaways if so?

I haven't yet!

I have had a Malia Mills suit forever — and while it survived motherhood in rewearability, it is now failing menopause. But I’ll hold onto it!

hilary, can you weight in for me? my bestie doesnt think i can wear a short black linen dress as a cover-up (trying to pack light for two months in europe coming up including a vacay in croatia!). she says black is too hot! i disagree. what do you think????

I'm the wrong person to ask because like 99% of my coverups are black linen or cotton

I trust and love your reviews so much. Like this needs to be a new version of consumer reports or something. I agree on LoF. Love love love the brand. I bought the one piece with the cutout (the peak suit) and I feel amazing in it. The material feels luxe and holds up so well. the other item on here I "ditto" is the j.crew shelf bra tank. Who knew?!? And because I love these as much as you do I know I will love everything else. In Hillary I Trust.

Love this round up! I haven’t bought a J Crew suit in a little while and I am excited to get the polka dot one! So glad to see the Left on Friday brand here too. I have been wearing them since they started since the two women who started it are from my area and good friends of friends 🩷 They are amazing suits. I have many styles and iterations but the Sunday top and high tide are two of my faves. The Sunday suit is my most worn every day suit as I do love a one peiece. I just both their linen Getaway Dress and linen shorts and top set. Fun!!
