You must look at Altra running shoes. Great athletic shoes for feet that need extra special support.

Just went on the site and the brand has one of the best shoe quizzes I've seen!

Agree! I often hate their colorways but they have such a good fit that I keep buying them year after year. Recommend the Experience or the Torin or riviera, all by Altra.

Came to say the same thing! I’m an Altra convert and my feet have never been happier.

Seconded! My husband just got some and he loves them (and they aren’t quite so chunky on the soles as, say, Hokas)

My husband and I have been dabbling in Tracksmith shoes and clothing. He's been wearing Hokas for 12 years (since before it was cool to do so), and he swears these are the most comfortable running/walking shoes he's owned.

Thank you! Thank you for stating your values, your sweet post about your dad and how you oppose what ICE is doing in LA. I would converted to a paid subscriber today (if you have it) having followed your feed for a while, based now in Vermont but an LA girl born and raised!

It is currently designer sale season at Saks, Neiman, Nordstrom. There are so many deals to be had if you have a sales associate... Also it is the worst of times when you are not trying to spend!

I feel personally validated that you got a pair of the ASICS lol. I love mine. New Balance are also a staple in my rotation. Super supportive. Just got the RC42 for an upcoming trip to Europe! I’m also a half size bigger on the left - sling backs are a great tip!

I share your high arch but have a very narrow foot which means very few shoes that will fit with the right support. New Balance does it for me & will add that I've gone with Asics & Brooks in the past but they change their design & fit without notice but NB has not. I try to get outside for an hour every day so poor fit shows up in your body, not just in your feet. it's a chain reaction!

Ohhhhhh I've never thought about that (showing up in your body, not just your feet). Thank you! I love that NB does narrow too!

APL sneakers are worth a look! Very comfortable and I appreciate the super minimal branding. Often included in NAP sales.

I think we might have the exact same feet! The difference in size is so annoying! I didn’t realize you were supposed to be able to feel the shoe on your arch for longer than I’d like to admit 😂I’ve been happy with my asics but need an update so I’m enjoying the work you are doing on this shoe journey

Although they are not "thin soled", they are not as puffy and I love these for athletic walking and strength training - New Balance 1906. I like the white colorway but they have lots... https://www.pacsun.com/new-balance/1906-7125545.html
