I’m so into those shades of green right now too! They still feel like a neutral but are a nice change from my usual gray, black, navy, camel go-to’s. And I love to pair them with my leopard print pieces!
Literally everything I am into is green! It makes me happy! I am nervous I’ll get sick of it but it’s also so versatile!!! And nature-y!!! Green lovers forever ☘️☘️
I've never really thought about air purifiers before (I'm in the Midwest) but the cooking part was interesting, and the fact that you couldn't open the windows to help the situation really struck home.
There are some truly gorgeous induction ranges on the market, should you decide to move on from a gas stove (and oven, if your oven is gas). Gas stoves emit both NO2 and benzene and are terrible for your indoor air quality. Robust range hoods vented outside help, as do windows when the outdoor air quality isn't unsafe, but induction eliminates the source of the pollutants and cooks just like gas - except faster and more efficiently.
Speaking of Rare Beauty - I cannot be the only one who enjoys the body products (they are not YCOHO status, but they are nice) but despises the packaging? So unnecessarily difficult!
Air Purifiers - my respiratory system is easily irritated and if i catch a cold, I’m coughing for weeks. The air purifiers really help (I get seasonal allergies and I’m easily distracted when cooking. )
Valentines - I never get Christmas cards out. But I have considered sending Valentines out instead. I know I would love receiving something in Feb. so thanks for the link to minted. You are never too old!
My air purifier is in my kitchen (and next to my bathroom) as that room doesn't have windows in my apt and is also centrally located in my apt. I'm always shocked when the light goes purple (aka dangerous air) from my oven/stove AND from when I use my dry shampoo with the bathroom door open. Who knew that little daily things were so bad for us?!
Bay Area gal here - we bought 4 purifers a few years ago when we had a bunch of wildfires around us. My husband has pretty bad allergies and they really help him. Another fun one to watch on your air purifier - check out what happens when you blow out candles!
Do you think that the people who want you to buy air purifiers might make an app that makes the air situation seem more dire than it is? Zyrtec's allergy app certainly does this to encourage people to think they need to take more allergy meds.

Yes and a pop of an orange red with it? Heaven

The kitchen part was far and away the most interesting and useful for me too!
Those greens 😍

TBH it wasn't a priority for us, but we are now coming around as we read more about the science.
Thanks for the recs and all the info about air purifiers. I need one for my kitchen for sure!
Oh I'm glad; at first I felt like it was niche to write about but the kitchen piece feels way more universal and surprising.

I haven't tried the body products!! Tell me more please.
I’m so so into everything in that shade of green
In the order in which you wrote about it:

The weird green. I’m a fan.

I don't because the place the air seems dire is outside, not inside? Generally they seem almost unnecessary inside (atm), aside from the kitchen.
