Also: PRESENT IDEAS. In addition to Beast Lab (and Magic Mixies, which are from the same makers and equally loved around this house), the other excellent gift I gave Clark for his birthday was this really nice version of Marble Run. It's called GraviTrax Ravensburger Speed Starter Set and it's amazing if you have a little one who likes STEM things. Link: https://bit.ly/46Z15OK

Is Beast Lab a one time use toy - was looking at it for my great nephew and not being familiar with a lot of these toys, I wasn't sure - I appreciate any other ideas you have for a 6-year-old. Thanks

Don’t sleep on Burt’s Bee’s PJs for the family! The fabric is wonderful and perfect for kiddos w sensitive skin.

And honestly their toddler pants are the absolute best! We were obsessed w all their clothes from birth to 18mos, then they lost us from 18mos-3T bc things didn’t fit the kiddo right but now that he’s a little taller, we’re back big time. Their mom & kiddo matching sweatshirts are also perfect.

Oh I love this! And you're right, I forgot about them after the baby stage, but they did always have really soft stuff. Thanks Robin!

One thing I hope you cover in a future round up is travel bags. Something to carry with me while sightseeing or traveling through a city. Something to throw my jacket and water bottle into or store all my purchases while out for the day. I always thought a nice full size leather backpack would be roomy enough without screaming I’m a tourist, but I haven’t found the perfect one. I would love your thoughts!

I also have this Classic Tote in cognac that I often travel with because it's soft, folds up, and can withstand grubby fingers: https://www.ableclothing.com/collections/minka-kellys-favorites/products/mamuye-classic-tote?variant=15029342787

As a travel/sightseeing bag I cannot recommend this enough. Hands free, super lightweight and packable, perfect size - will hold a small water bottle. Safe in crowded places for keeping wallet and phone zipped up. It’s a love. Also great for mom errands and sports sidelines on the weekend. https://www.uniqlo.com/us/en/products/E461053-000/00

I'm so lazy I usually use a cotton tote bag (but one of my snobby ones, like from an old Met exhibition or V&A exhibition, or my favorite favorite which is a John Waters quote about books that I got at the Strand like 1 million years ago). https://www.strandbooks.com/product/9789111026635?title=tote_bag_dont_fuck_em_flat

I’ve been obsessed with Brit marling and her insane talent ever since I randomly watched Another Earth something like 10 years ago. I still think about it today and knowing she’s behind this Hulu series makes it an auto watch for me.

Oh Ash, we are the same person. She's bonkers talented, and so smart and cool and all the things it's almost annoying? But mostly just inspiring as hell. I probably shouldn't mention this, but whatever: I got to interview her for Second Life! To talk about her career and the recent move into directing! And she was the most amazing guest ever. Like: incredible. I can't wait for you to watch the new show. It's BONKERS good.

I need help finding a classic cashmere sweater with modern feminine proportions that doesn’t break the bank - like which style from nada am or la ligne is best?? And what’s out featherweight cashmere is that worthwhile? Or should I just buy cotton sweaters and where skins body suit under for layering warmth?? Any suggestions / help much appreciated!

Not sure if this fits the bill but I really like the J Crew classic fit crew neck ones. I have them in black, camel, leopard and green (MIL gifted me one). It’s a classic fit and goes with everything - I’ve dressed it up & down. And every now and then, they go on sale ;)

Love your velvet shoe for the holidays trend! However, those of us who live in colder climates can’t really wear a sandal in December (even running from the car to a restaurant entrance makes for cold feet), so if it’s not too much extra work, might you have any closed toe/pump suggestions? Thanks as always!!!

Love all of your recommendations - so timely for the holidays. One wish list item - would you consider doing a pre-BF or BF focused finds for folks getting married in 2024? I’d love your magical help finding things in white and things for the groom and bridal party that are chic and hopefully on sale. Long shot but figured it was worth a try!

i love matching pjs so much and want to look as cute/chic as clark does! as a petite person it is so hard to find matching sets that fit--not too snug in the bust and pants that i’m not stepping on. even if they are “petite” pjs i have to roll up the waistband. 🙄

* Ordered the one piece Hanukah PJs for my baby granddaughter...along with a Cuddle and Kind doll...do you know that company? I have bought from them before.

* Does Clark really wear a sleep mask? I struggle with them.

* I love the U Beauty tinted moisturizer...of course. ;-}
