Love these Thanksgiving dinner options! Would love some recs on soft-soft pants (aka elevated knit lounge sets that can do double duty for traveling and extended living room lounging!)
😂 that’s what I like the most about jeans right now: you can wear whatever shape / style you like 🙌🏼 I have cropped, flare, skinny, barrel all in rotation.
The Ann Mashburn Faye pant is a great option in the same vein as High Sport.
And, this is the very best gravy recipe! It takes a bit of a commitment of time, though not much of it hands on. It freezes beautifully, thus can be made ahead, frozen and reheated on Turkey day. I’m making mine today!
I want to try the Ann Mashburn pants. High Sport on my wish list but such an investment. Everlane have a great option too but have a side zipper and I love AYR High Hope pants too. Fancy sweatpants.
New item to shop for, although it may seem out of your wheelhouse in LA-a warm hat for women that fits large heads. I’m in PA, and have been on a quest for this for a while. The world is not one size fits all, but apparently it is for hats!🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️
Janessa Leone is my go-to for larger domes! I have a big head and her hats go up to a true XL. I take a L, normally. She usually makes something specific for cold weather too.
Do you mean a beanie or something else? My go-to for my giant head is usually going to the men’s department for wool/cashmere knit hats. I have had success with The Great too.
Hi there and thanks for this. I live in much warmer climes than what your suggestions are good for but I do love reading what you suggest for a NA thanksgiving.
Please can you suggest a good evening bag for a wedding. Neutral colour (not black) and roomy enough to carry wallet and lippie 💄please? Xxx
I'd love your help finding the perfect work bag that meets these criteria: it should be able to fit a laptop, close securely on top to prevent any spills or pickpocketing, and effortlessly transition from work to dinner to event to travel. Chic and classic! Any suggestions?
Hi Hillary! I just clicked on every link and what great ideas for Thanksgiving and beyond. LOVE THOSE BOOTS. Tuva Maxi dress and you and Wilder, so cute.
On a somewhat related end-of-year clothes question, any thoughts about where best to consign or donate some beautiful and rarely worn items from RL Purple Label, Piazza Sempione, Tory Burch, etc? Sent a haul to TheRealReal and they kept nearly all but they don't accept RL Purple, nor Piazza pantsuits, which are gorgeous, but not hot now. (Obvi, since no one goes to an office anymore!) Anyway, I've been thinking you would have your fingers on this pulse.
(As an aside, I emailed Christina Kim, founder of Dosa, since I thought they might have an upcycle program for her garments, given their corporate extile philosophy overall. Her answer surprised me: she said to go ahead and donate Dosa items to Goodwill. Younger people discover it there and then save up to buy something new!)
See if your area has a program like Dress for Success? I did this a few years back when my husband had a bunch of suits collecting dust. I think a lot of orgs may have specific needs with regard to sizing and such, so ymmv.
Love the idea of the high sport cropped flare pants but unfortunately a bit out of my price range. But this post inspired me to try the latest iteration of j.crew's pixie pant! Used to LOVE these & wear them to work all the time years ago. Then I wasn't a huge fan of the redesign but looks like according to the reviews, the latest iteration has a higher waist. Ordered on sale & excited to try! Also a perfect pant for hanging around the house, cooking, playing with kids, looking a little bit more polished -- and leaves room for Thanksgiving dinner.
I’m just here to confirm the Bijou dress is incredible and I have zero regrets buying it. I am 6’0 and it hits me at the perfect length but it would also look amazing on a shorter frame *chefs kiss*
No hard pants! Brilliant advice. I love the Gap split hem turtleneck and the Frame jeans. A great combo!
It's just not worth it to mess with hard pants when dealing with a meal of this magnitude.

At least for me the sezane chlo link goes to the jcrew sweater as a heads up!
Arghhhhhh thank you. Fixed!
I have the tan and black JCrew sweater in my cart rn!
So tempted to buy it too! Along with the frame jeans 😁
I am so not ready for flares. I enjoy my cropped ankle length. 😹

Honestly it's excellent. And weirdly hard to find that perfect stripe color combo?
What about LaLingne striped knits? Favorites?
I may need that BR dress for my Thanksgiving lewk!
I can confirm that it is absolutely perfect!
It's giving The Row, no?

Love that NYT stuffing recipe! What's your go-to for the cornbread?

My intent was a beanie. Actually had success with Lululemon of all things in their men’s hats🤷🏻♀️
I read an “my favorite stuff”-style interview with Sam Irby and she mentioned this site--bighatstore.com--maybe this is the answer?

Thank you so much, Rebecca. That's a great suggestion!
Could you please post on a good sweater dress? Not boxy but not clingy either? Good with boots or flats? Thank you!! 😊
