We usually camp in our trailer which is stocked with our own favorites. This year we are staying in hotels. I hadn’t thought of bringing my own hair products but now I will.

Also I liked that there aren't 1000 rooms so you didn't need to fight for a lounge chair. And the biggest pool is super easy for kids.

Extremely family friendly, esp the residences. Full kitchen, bbq on lanai, washer dryer, and it's huge. Made it easy to have snacks/meals there, esp for kids. We got banana bread at Leona's and made coffee every morning, plus fruit from the grocery store around the corner and it was such a chill way to start the morning.

Hi Hillary! I haven't stopped thinking about that Janessa Leone raffia bag since the first time you shared it and I finally just made.the.purchase! Thanks for the recommendation and the code! It definitely helped take the 'sting' out of the price! Love what you're doing here. Thank you!

As someone who could not love sleep shorts/tap pants more, I will definitely try the Negative ones. I have to say Anthropologie has some excellent ones as well. My faves below!

I am dying to try these fun feathery ones. I have non-feather versions that are perfection. I gifted them to gfs for the holidays and they all love as well. I would rec sizing down:

And I have multiple versions of this set. They are pretty true to size:

As a fellow orange-on-a-toothpick, Janessa Leone has been a lifesaver (perhaps quite literally, given the sun where I live). I have two of her hats--one packable, one not. They're amazing! Thank you for sharing the piece about her AND for helping her career! (One size does not fit "most," thank you.)

I THINK THEYRE WORTH EVERY PENNY! Stylish, fit the small heads and the biggies, and such good sun protection! I'm so glad you love her work as much as I do. She's really remarkable.

Tubing mascara for life! Cali Ray is truly incredible but Joey got me on to a Clinique one ( Lash Power) during my make up lesson it’s since risen to Holy Grail status for me!! Check out this product at Sephora.com - CLINIQUE Lash Power Mascara Long-Wearing Formula - Black Onyxhttps://www.sephora.com/product/lash-power-mascara-long-wearing-formula-P206900

Enjoying your use of the term "fuck with" meaning loving. A phrase I hear thrown around often by my teen daughter. On a more serious note, I love it when you review shoes. Would love more talk of shoes, especially things you like that might be in a mid range affordability.

Quick tubing mascara question. I’ve been using the Merit for a while which I love for everyday, but doesn’t pack a lot of oomph. Have you tried it? And if you have, how do you think it compares to the Caliray and the Too Faced? Thanks! 😃

Expand full comment
Hillary Kerr's avatar

I love so many Merit products, but for me, I like a lash with more volume, hence why I recommend the other two. Caliray is more natural than Too Faced, but bolder than Merit. Too Faced is the boldest of the three.

Reading this on the flight with my own family to our spring break trip and realized I didn’t book any dinners either. Thanks for the reminder!

Also, curious what size you take in the Ref gingham dress? They’re sold out of my normal 4 and wondering if I can squeeze into a 2 😬

I think it's both TTS and forgiving. My guess would be that the 2 would work for you!!!
